Moon Festival · Reunion Festival
Day 15 of month 8 in the Chinese calendar.

Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the Chinese calendar and gathers layered practices around the moon, harvest, reunion and memories of home. Moon viewing, family gatherings, mooncakes and local practices such as moon offerings, lanterns or fire-dragon dance did not emerge everywhere in the same period or form, so claims are sourced separately. Circles, moon phases, osmanthus, the moon rabbit and cake moulds offer design structures. Gold, Moon White, pale yellow and deep blue establish a night-reading hierarchy as a modern editorial palette, not an official historical standard.
