Mid-Autumn Festival
September 25, 2026 · 64 days away
Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the Chinese calendar and gathers layered practices around the moon, harvest, reunion and memories of home. Moon viewing, family gatherings, mooncakes and local practices such as moon offerings, lanterns or fire-dragon dance did not emerge everywhere in the same period or form, so claims are sourced separately. Circles, moon phases, osmanthus, the moon rabbit and cake moulds offer design structures. Gold, Moon White, pale yellow and deep blue establish a night-reading hierarchy as a modern editorial palette, not an official historical standard.02 · SEASONAL YUE LING READING
Last Month of Summer
「季夏之月,日在柳。」
Entry 6 follows the seasonal month sequence of the Liji's Yue Ling and is only an aggregation aid. Ancient monthly ordinances were organized through the Chinese calendar, solar terms and ritual order; they do not map one-to-one onto Gregorian month 6. Any display must use an annual calendar and regional context.03 · OBJECT CONNECTION
Central ancestral hall and yellow ritual banners
A source-attributed object category from this seasonal reading. Individual museum-object links require separate image and license review.
